Good stuff! I’d like to add a few of mine:

Don’t use viral and pyramid follower programs to get followers.
Don’t fill your timeline with ads.

Do take the time to create your own original content in addition to retweeting others.
Do let your personality shine in your tweets.

And: Twitter is about building relationships – Don’t use third-party applications to automatically post on your behalf. This doesn’t build relationships, and will make you look like a spammer.

right on! you nailed it. another tip: use BackTweets (backtweets.com) to see if people are linking to you. It even shows links that are shortened (with tinyurl.com or whatever)!
